Jim joined Dolinka, VanNoord & Company in 2008. Prior to merging with DVC, he managed his own practice for the past 19 years working with small to medium size businesses in West Michigan. Jim has extensive experience with small business owners in the areas of software applications, internal control design, management structure, financing, budgets, and mergers and acquisitions. He also has experience in the area of tax collection and negotiation issues. Prior to starting his own practice, he worked in private as an assistant controller (1987-1989). His internship was completed with Carter, Hamilton, Dieterman, CPA’s in Grand Rapids (1985-1986). He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Davenport College in 1985. He has lived and worked in the Grand Rapids area his entire life along with his family.
